In our "warm" classes, the temperature ranges from the low to mid 80s, while our "hot" classes embrace the upper 80s to low 90s, depending on the season and the teacher's discretion. James Tedeschi

James Tedeschi is a dedicated and passionate Ashtanga Yoga teacher with 10 years of experience.


With a deep understanding of the practice, James guides students on a
transformative journey towards physical and mental well-being.
Having discovered Ashtanga Yoga during a challenging time in his life, the practice became a
powerful tool for self-discovery, awakening and healing. Inspired by the profound impact it had,
James availed himself to share this ancient practice with others, becoming a Registered Yoga
teacher in 2017.


James has studied with Son Hui Yi, Jennifer Elliott, Carroll Ann Friedman, Saraswathi Jois and Ty
Landrum, to name a few.
He received the Ashtanga yoga practice through “prampara,” direct
lineage teaching, from all students and authorized teachers of Pattabhi Jois.

His classes are known for their dynamic and energetic flow, combining traditional Ashtanga sequences with modifications to suit students of all levels.
With a focus on breath, alignment, and awareness James, creates a safe and supportive environment for students to explore their practice and deepen their understanding of themselves.

Beyond the physical aspects of yoga, James believes in the holistic benefits of the practice.
Through Ashtanga Yoga, James aims to help students cultivate inner strength, resilience, and a
sense of peace.

As a lifelong learner, James continues to deepen his knowledge and understanding of yoga
through regular workshops, retreats, and self-study. This commitment to personal growth
allows James to bring fresh insights and inspiration to his teaching, ensuring a dynamic and
evolving experience for students.

Royce Sarpy

Royce Sarpy is a certified Kemetic yoga teacher CKYT 200 (Yoga Skills School of Kemetic Yoga), & RYT 200 (My Vinyasa Practice), children's book author, educator, and ELPS doctoral student at Howard University.

He began his journey as a yogi at the age of 10 after his grandmother introduced him to yoga to help him find calm within himself. Since he has practiced many styles of yoga with a heavy influence on Vinyasa and Hatha.

Kemetic yoga has pushed his journey of holistic wellness to a level of spiritual growth that has helped him process the transition of his mother and find balance in his ventures.

Royce believes that yoga is about self-discovery and becoming tuned into the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. He hopes his practice can bring peace and enlightenment.

Chynna Lauren


Chynna Lauren is a Florida-born, Connecticut-raised, and long-time D.C/V.A. inhabitant. Chynna’s high school photography teacher sparked her interest in yoga, which then led her to an infrequent practice throughout her college years. After graduating with dual degrees in Fine Art Photography and Journalism, she cultivated a consistent yoga practice and received her 200-Hour Power Vinyasa certificate from CorePower Yoga in 2015. Since then, Chynna has led and coached several 200-Hour teacher training as well as a couple of Yoga Sculpt programs, workshops on inversions/arm-balances and chakras, mediation, barre, lifting classes, and has been certified E-RYT with Yoga Alliance. After a decade of dancing with this practice, Chynna realizes that “the real yoga practice is not necessarily Instagrammable, nor is it even on the mat most of the time.” She tries her best to remind students of that in her classes; “to bring everyone back to that grounded, yet light place in the present with the breath.”
