James Tedeschi is a dedicated and passionate Ashtanga Yoga teacher with 10 years of experience.
With a deep understanding of the practice, James guides students on a transformative journey towards physical and mental well-being. Having discovered Ashtanga Yoga during a challenging time in his life, the practice became a powerful tool for self-discovery, awakening and healing. Inspired by the profound impact it had, James availed himself to share this ancient practice with others, becoming a Registered Yoga teacher in 2017.
James has studied with Son Hui Yi, Jennifer Elliott, Carroll Ann Friedman, Saraswathi Jois and Ty Landrum, to name a few. He received the Ashtanga yoga practice through “prampara,” direct lineage teaching, from all students and authorized teachers of Pattabhi Jois.
His classes are known for their dynamic and energetic flow, combining traditional Ashtanga sequences with modifications to suit students of all levels. With a focus on breath, alignment, and awareness James, creates a safe and supportive environment for students to explore their practice and deepen their understanding of themselves.
Beyond the physical aspects of yoga, James believes in the holistic benefits of the practice. Through Ashtanga Yoga, James aims to help students cultivate inner strength, resilience, and a sense of peace.
As a lifelong learner, James continues to deepen his knowledge and understanding of yoga through regular workshops, retreats, and self-study. This commitment to personal growth allows James to bring fresh insights and inspiration to his teaching, ensuring a dynamic and evolving experience for students.
Studio Waiver
I understand that Sukha Center assumes no liability for any illnesses or injuries which I may sustain as a result of participating in yoga activities including but not limited to the use of any yoga equipment (props) or the performance of any particular exercise or series of exercises or any related activities. I expressly acknowledge on behalf of myself and my heirs that I assume the risk of any and all injuries or illnesses which may occur as a result of participating in these activities. I also understand that my yoga sessions are non-refundable if I choose not to continue to take yoga classes at Sukha Center but can be transferred to another person upon agreement with Sukha Center. Sukha Center is responsible for providing replacement instructors in the advent of termination or absence. I hereby release and discharge Sukha Center and all of its employees, agents, servants, representatives, and principals from any and all claims of injury, illness, death, loss, or damage which I may sustain as a result of participating in the above activities. I further acknowledge that Sukha Center is not responsible for any personal items lost or stolen while I am participating in activities at Sukha Center. I hereby acknowledge and agree with the waivers set forth above.
